I’ve got a special treat for you today, my puppies! Awesome Justin and Awesome Ericka from YouAreCreators interviewed me this week for their popular YouTube podcast. I was so excited to talk to them both and their amazing questions (y’all know how I love me some questions!) ended up getting me to spill a whole buttload of LOA info. Yep, I gave away the milk. And the cow. And the farm. And possibly my first born…

I cover the basics of the Law of Attraction in a way I haven’t really done before, and then we get into manifesting money, parenting, dealing with negative family members and spirituality, all while I was trying really hard not to curse. You know, because I’m a Lady. Oh, and at the end, I reveal my plans for the upcoming year. Strap in and hang on folks, it’s gonna be a wild ride.

You can listen to the entire interview here:

  • So this podcast is kinda rocking my world at the moment. Notably, the section on parenting. I’m not a parent but I could see myself in the comments about seeing parents as the only source of abundance. Major lightbulb and a-ha right there. I couldn’t figure out how I had such abundance prior to the major life shift I’m going through at the moment when I feel that I’m being much truer to myself and open and happy. But that’s it! I still believe(d) in my parents as the primary source of my abundance and as I have gotten older, I just feel more guilt about accepting their assistance. And hence, the financial struggle mode. Now to sort out the most effective way for me to shift this belief and allow way more channels of accessing my abundance. Also, really loved the commentary about having what you need when you need it as opposed to having it in advance to deal with my own desire to feel “safe”

  • Thank you!Thank you!Thank you!Stacie I am currently focusing on such positive and joyous emotions. And I know and believe that with your love and best wishes and His grace
I shall achieve what I desire.

  • Abhihit,

What emotions would you feel if you had qualified? How would you feel if you were provided with both the job and higher education you want? Your strategy could be to focus on feeling those feelings now. Feel the excitement now. Feel the happiness now. Imagine celebrating with your family and friends now.

I know from experience that this may sound difficult to do, but it’s worth what ever effort it takes.

  • Ma’m,I have appeared for GATE(a popular engineering aptitude test held in India) on February 2014.The results came out on 27th March 2014.My exam was good and I daily practiced affirmations to manifest best ranks in the results.I have even wrote down the results both on paper and word in my computer and visualised it everyday. But the result came out just oneday before the scheduled date and it was..that I was not qualified!Although the official score card is yet to be delivered to my address by post..but I feel very much depressed and sad..as if LOA has failed me on the most important and long-cherised result of my life. This will provide me with both job and higher education. What should I do now to attract the score card with desired results? What should be my strategy now? Please help me,guide me.Waiting eagerly for your precious reply.

  • who said we have to create anything?

    can we NOT create things?
in other words, can we create Nothing.
Can we create a reality Void ?

    is that even possible ?

    • sk, your questions intrigue me. Based on my evolving understanding and experiences, here’s my response: We are ALWAYS creating, whether intentionally or unintentionally. This is true even if what we create is an experience of so much lack that we would describe it as having nothing.

Also, it just occurred to me that since abundance is the natural order of things, the opposite of that – Nothing – would definitely have to be something we create.

I’m interested in reading how others may respond.

      • Would a Nothing scenario lead to transitioning? That is, you would have to leave this plane if nothing was going on, no? by nothing going on, I would say losing the will, giving up, etc.

Since the ball got rolling with the universe, I agree, there is always creation going on, consciously or subconsciously, deliberately or non. The process is always going. Since we are part of the universe, and since source created, replacing the void, of which we are not part, then there can only be something. There is no nothing anymore, not even black holes are nothing. There is energy there, loads of it. I have no idea what others will respond, but this is my take on it.

        I love such topics!

        • Oh, I just remembered. I had read about an area in the galaxy where it appeared nothing was going on, i.e, a blank space, and astronomers found tons of stuff there! I do not remember details, but they, too, looked into what nothing will be like, only to discover things there.

          • Continuing along this line, my instinct is that source has always always always been around, that there was never a void. The view of our scientific world is that the universe began with “the big bang,” but scientists are trying to come up with theories to explain something that supposedly happened billions of year ago. I do not think it is necessary to assume the universe had a “beginning” in the same limited sense that we are “born” into our bodies. Just as we are eternal beings having a human experience, it is my belief that the universe has always existed. Even if the universe, in the sense of all the planets and stars and other things that we can measure with our instruments, had a “beginning” billions of years ago, there has always been and always will be Source Energy, and we are part of that Source, so we always have been and always will be.

          • The view of scientists is limited. In essence, it is all nothing. There was always source. Since source gave the command, it became something and created. It sort of willed stuff into being. Also, I feel the main “gist” of source is actually peace.

  • I have been sensing for years that the best way to live life is how you described towards the end of the call – being fully present in each moment, trusting your instinct and following your highest joy. I was a little wary about going all out in my every day life, but after hearing you talk and listening to Abraham lately, I think I’m ready. Thank you so much, Melody! You have been, and continue to be, such an awesome and amazing gift! 🙂

  • Loved that interview…I’ll definitely be having a repeat listen. Sometimes I wish I could download all the knowledge you have into my brain, but for now I usually just take a ‘what would Melody do’ approach to situations…which has actually been a great way to approach life recently. Can’t wait to hear more about this book… 🙂

  • That was an awesome interview! 🙂

I agree with Lesa above. It seemed that the hosts weren’t quite as energetic as Melody. Especially those last couple of minutes. I felt a pretty big energetic jump close to the end. Really cool!

Thank you for sharing with us Melody! 🙂

  • Love the interview and how u stay true to yourself and loa without being overbearing and condescending. Your approach always feel real and easy to follow. Which is why you are my favourite teacher ever xxx

  • Great interview! The part resonating with me the most was the part about not settling for something if your intuition is telling you no. I’ve been out of work for almost two months now, and I’m seeing it as a blessing because I was burnt out on my marketing job and am using this opportunity to figure out what I’m passionate about and what I want to do next that will bring me fulfillment (which will most likely involve social media and writing, two things I am passionate about.) When not job hunting, I’ve been focusing on doing things that make me feel good and happy, and also training for a 5K and getting my body into really good shape. I made up my mind when I was let go that I would refuse to worry, and trust that I will find something that I love and that excites me.

I have been hearing from recruiters presenting positions to me that I am either completely unqualified for, or qualified for but sound really boring. Recently the HR manager for a computer software company reached out to after finding my resume on Monster, and as soon as I read the job description (which I was qualified for, but it would have entailed doing the same boring stuff as the job I just left) and visited the site my gut was immediately saying no. I politely declined it and explained what I was looking for and he kept trying to entice me but I had to ignore it and stick to my guns. Sure, I probably would have had a good chance at being offered it but I would have found myself right back in the same scenario of being unfulfilled and just collecting a paycheck. That I refuse to settle for.

  • Amazing! SO much information, SO much energy! Thanks, Melly-Mel!! Gotta watch this one again and take notes!! Love you so much!

    Marjorie 🙂

  • That is terrible advice you gave on parenting. It’s our job as parents to teach our children good eating habits. Sorry but you can not allow your children to have cake and ice cream or loads of candy for supper. Are you serious? Take candy from strangers as a way to manifest what they want? Woah Melody! It’s clear that you don’t have children of your own. Coming from the role of a nonparent, that advice may sound cute and adorable but it’s harmful. Maybe the children manifested themselves PARENTS for a reason. It’s our job as parents to take care of our children, not to give them what ever they want or to even allow for them to have what ever they want. And yes children WILL just run into the streets if you let them. Should we let them go to the playground at night instead of going to sleep? Because lord knows playing on the jungle gym is soo much more fun than going to bed. Terrible advice on that one Melody, awful. It’s nonparents who think they know what’s best for children and have all this wonderful advice for parents. That is until they become parents themselves.

    • Hey Aris,

I understand where you’re coming from and if the advice doesn’t resonate with you, then please feel free to ignore it. But please don’t discount it simply because I don’t have kids. What I am advocating for here is a change from the fear based parenting that’s become the norm in recent years (which hasn’t been serving us and has been creating so many representations of that fear), along with the disciplinary approach that has been creating powerless people all over the world for thousands of years. It’s time to break out of that, in my opinion, and in the opinion of quite a few learned experts. This isn’t the same as the “let your kids get away with being little buttholes” approach that has been tried in recent years. This approach honors your children’s innate wisdom and puts you in the position of guide rather than police officer. And, at least for the parents I’ve worked with, it works incredibly well and quickly to cut down on rebellious behavior and establish trust between adults and kids.

Again, if this doesn’t resonate with you, please don’t adopt it. Find the approach that works for you.

      Hugs,
      Melody

  • Melody, that was simply *AMAZINGGGGGGGG*!!!!! You are just so magical. I can’t wait for the book and the do-it-yourself kits!!

    • Hey Jane,

Sorry, I don’t have a transcript on this one. I will always aim to provide one on my own videos, but can’t do it for interviews on other people’s sites. Maybe I can change this in the future, but I’m not set up for it right now.

      Sending you huge hugs,

      Melody

  • Omg!!! So awesome Melody!!!
I did a coaching call with you at the beginning of this month and hearing your voice again gave me that sort of experience AGAIN!!!
You are amazing melody! I wish someday I can actually meet you personally!!!
You know what would be awesome? Working along side with you full time!! Now that would be a dream come true 🙂

Keep up the great work melody!!!

    • Hi Masira, 🙂

I too wish I could meet Melody in person. Just imagine! Maybe we could all go to cheer Melody when she’s on a show. That would be just so awesomeeee. 🙂 Working with Melody would be my dream come true as well. Who wouldn’t want to work for a person like Melody?!

  • I listened the other day and you were nothing short of fantastic! If anybody is ever looking for a succinct and conclusive explanation of what LOA is about and MORE than your interview on the YouAreCreator show is the one podcast to listen to and bookmark.
You were on fire and giving it all you had.
Too bad the two “hosts” didn’t or couldn’t seem to keep up with your wonderful energy.
    You are definitely the best!
    Keep doing what your doing.
