It’s that time of year! The last blog post for 2015. At the end of every year, I apply a process that helps me to raise my vibration and then energetically set up the whole next year, plus bring in massive amounts of positive manifestations in January, February and March. I love this process and have been doing it (and sharing it) for years. So why not join me by following along and applying to your own life? But remember, don’t freak out when your life actually starts to change! Ha.

Hello my puppies! In today’s video, I’d like to take you through my year end process.  At the end of every year, I do a blog post that lets you know the process that I go through in order to review the year that has passed and how I set myself up energetically for the year that’s to come. I’ll put some links in the description below to past blog posts that describe this process, but I thought this year that I’d do something different and shoot a video.

How I set energetic goals

At the end of every year, I sit down and I review what has happened to me in the past year and compare it to the goals (the loose, general, energetic goals) I set myself at the beginning of the last year. So, at the beginning of 2015, I sat myself down and I set up a few goals for my business and my personal life. These aren’t really specific goals when I set them, they are not for example, to quit smoking, or to make a certain amount of money.  They were about me creating a bigger impact and getting out there in a bigger way; they were goals just for me.

At the end of the year I look at them and see what worked, what didn’t work, and I look to see if I have progressed in any of those things. I do not beat myself up for not meeting these goals in a specific way; I look at the progression of what’s happened; have I gotten better at something, have I gotten out there in a big way, did I face my fears and did I release any resistance on some issues where I have resistance?

This is a little bit different from a goal setting exercise to lose 20lbs or quit smoking, and when you realise you didn’t do that, you then start to feel bad about yourself.  What I do is a good feeling exercise.

What to look for

What you want to do is to sit down and look at everything you accomplished this year, every way in which you grew, and every way in which you progressed in some way.

For me, a lot happened this year. I brought out my book, Deliberate Receiving: Finally, the Universe Makes Some Freakin’ Sense! Published by Hay House.  That was a huge milestone for me and something I feel incredibly proud of.  My baby is finally out there and I’m a very proud mommy!

I moved out of Barcelona, Spain, after living there for 13 years.  I’m being called to move to the United States, and I’m also going to be travelling quite a bit for the next few months. By the time you watch this video, I will be a month away from moving to the U.S. and to the cosmopolitan and metropolitan city of Boise, Idaho.  Don’t ask me why, but my intuition is pulling me there, so that’s where I’m going.  It was a big journey to leave Barcelona and to go someplace else; once again that was a real big shift in my life.

I grew in countless ways and I released all kinds of resistance, and one of my goals was to take my business to a much bigger level.  I got a lot of education this year and I released a lot of stuff around that and so for 2016 I am now perfectly set up to take my business to the next level and I’ll tell you more about that in just a bit.

Celebrate what you have accomplished

The first step to my year end process is to sit down and celebrate what you accomplished this year, without the bad feeling comparison about what you thought you would accomplish but didn’t.  Take a few moments to do this and it should get you into a really good feeling space.  If you are not in a good feeling space, you are not trying hard enough.  You are focusing on the things that you wanted to accomplish but didn’t. Look at the things that you actually did accomplish and give yourself credit for them and celebrate.  Once you’ve done that and while you are still in this energetic state, go ahead and start looking at the year ahead.  Don’t get too specific with it, look forward to what it is you want to accomplish and look at the areas in your life that you want to expand on.

The next bit of advice I’m going to give you is counter intuitive to any goal setting advice you’ve ever had.  You’ve probably been told to be super specific and to put a timeline around your goals, which you’ve probably been doing for the last few years. But ask yourself, how has that been working out for you?  If it hasn’t, try doing it a different way this time.

Look at where you want to progress.  For example, you want to take your business to a new level, like me, or maybe you want to work on your relationship.  So using the example of the relationship, start by committing yourself to working on it, look for the different ways of doing that, and get into the energy of what a really good relationship feels like.  Look at your husband or wife in a different way, and then watch to see if you are inspired to do something, to actually take some action from that energy place.  That’s why you don’t want to get too specific, because you don’t know what you are going to be inspired to do.  Embody that energy and then daydream about it; really daydream about it; punch this vision up until it makes you dance around the room.  If you’re not dancing around the room, if you’re not almost breathless with excitement about the vision for the next year; you are not thinking big enough!  You need to go a lot bigger.  This next year is going to be the best one ever!  Yes, I say that at the beginning of every year but guess what? I’m always freakin’ right!  It always is the best one ever; it just keeps getting better and better and better.

What is making me dance around the room this year?

I got a lot of education this year and I’m really set up to take my business to the next level. I’m going to be revealing an on-line program (you are the first to hear about it), that’s going to allow me to serve a lot more people.  My business has been based on personal 1-2-1 coaching for a long time now and my waiting list is so long that there are people on it who will probably never get to talk to me. I really don’t like that; it just isn’t satisfying for me.  I have been looking for a way to, and getting into the energy of serving a lot more people, and I finally got the big download where the method and how I can go about doing that came in.

We are going to be creating the “Happy Shiny Puppy Boot Camp” [actually, it’s probably the Deliberate Receiving Bootcamp, as it was pointed out to me that someone who hasn’t been following this blog might think it’s a dog training program…].  I don’t have a specific date for that yet, I’m letting it happen in perfect time, but it will happen in the first half of 2016, so that’s something you can look forward to.

I also have all kinds of other things in the works that I’m going to be reviewing and other products that are going to be serving you guys. I’m already working on my next book, which is almost certainly going to be about the physical body and how the technology of the body works [or maybe not. This insight changes a lot].

In January I’m going to Peru, spending time with my Shamanic Buddy, Javier. I did a video with him last year which you can find here.  I will see what else hits me there, what inspiration comes to me, but right now I’m really dancing around the room looking forward to moving to the States, looking forward to getting my own house, looking forward to getting a new community and tribe, and looking forward to spending time with my beautiful family and my two gorgeous nephews who live in the States.

I’m having a fantastic time building the new product for you guys, and putting so much energy forward to seeing you getting tons and tons of benefit from it, and I’m also working on my next big live event!  Yes it’s coming, you guys have been asking for it, so we are looking at doing that and I cannot wait! It’s going to be bigger, it’s going to be better, and it’s going to glitzier and more luxurious than it was the last time!  I know you’re thinking, that’s not possible, but it will happen!

All of that is making me dance around the room!

Bottom Line

Whatever your vision is for next year, get yourself into a good space celebrating what you did this year, and then look forward to next year; punch it up, bigger, bigger and bigger, until it makes you dance around the room and it makes you totally breathless with excitement, and then – spend all the holidays there!  You will amazed at how much of it will manifest in the first few months of the year!

I used to do this in my corporate days; I have been doing this for ages, even back then. I would also do a version of this on my Spa holidays, where I still go every year, which is my tradition. I would make some space, and then I’d get into a really good space about my life (past, present and future)!  It was amazing (even though I didn’t really spend time in a super positive space the rest of the year), how much started to manifest in January, February and March.

If you are not a happy shiny puppy yet, try this technique; it works!

Finally, I want to say a big, fat “thank you” to all of my puppies out there, all of my viewers, all of my readers, everybody who has bought my book this year, everybody who sent me an email letting me know that I helped you; I am so appreciative of you, and I hold the energy for all of you to get everything, everything that you want, even the stuff you don’t even realise you want yet!

I cannot wait to see you guys next year; you have a wonderful, wonderful New Year’s!

If you want to share what you accomplished this year and what you want to accomplish next year, please leave your comments below!

Bye!

  • Dear Melody,
You helped me to find “really happy”. You told me to “keep on”, and I did. I am so thankful to you. So much has become clear to me due to your insights, and this blog. I don’t know exactly how I happened to find this blog a few years back but WOW! I have evolved in so many ways, just by trusting, and keeping out of my own way! Having you in my life has been amazing. Your plan to reach more of us is fantastic.
I cannot thank you, and those who respond with their questions and insights enough. Happy New Year and all the best to all!
Boise will never be the same!
All my love and support, Mi

  • Hey Melody
I really loved reading this because I agree so much about the whole goal thing. I too am an advocate the more loosey-goosey variety. I have come to find in my own life, specifics are not often my friend, when it comes to goals or manifestations. They are often arbitrary or not what we really want anyway. The idea of charting growth, change and more of that ‘inner stuff’ really resonated because that is something I have been pondering myself lately in regards to my own life. Enjoy Peru. Ayahuasca was a very profound experience for me but haven’t been called to do it again…if I do, off to Peru I go without a doubt!

  • Hey Melody !

I am with Karin, love what you do. I mean there is a lot of work and I know we all want to be there with you.
    Thanks…

  • Hi Melody, I think your goal setting technique is a good one because I’ve set goals and intentions in the past and been disappointed when they haven’t worked out. This year I’m not sure if I’ll set anything at all but your post (I’m one of the readers, lol) has inspired me to think more about how the year went and I realised I haven’t entirely “failed”. Thank you. 🙂

Also your book is one of my LOA go to resources, I was just re-reading it the other day. I’m looking forward to hearing mote about your next one and the Boot Camp sounds like a cool idea. Happy New Year to you! 🙂

  • Thank you so much for posting this! It is exactly what I needed to read. I woke up this morning, on the first day of 2016 feeling incredibly alone and depressed (not a great start). I’ve been in a funk since discovering I am menopausal and it hit me like a tonne of bricks that I’m getting old (and so time is running out blah blah…or some such negativity). I was stuck because I didn’t know how to pull myself up and out of that err, shit pit, as you call it.

I read your post and a light went on. THIS is what I need to do. Rather than wallowing in what hasn’t happened in my life (which, I am embarrassed to say has been my default of late) I have a choice. I can focus on the things I want and the way I want to feel. Set myself up properly for a fantastic year (I’ve never tried this organised approach to intend my year ahead, so thanks a bunch for the tip!).

So, I started to think about how I want to increase my health and fitness, to feel the strongest I have ever felt. To feel pride in my appearance. To truly enjoy lifting weights and working up a sweat simply for the joy of using my body optimally. This felt good! So I went further. I started to focus on feeling truly happy within myself, loving me, warts and all. What a buzz of excitement! I’m not dancing around the room quite yet but I’m getting there. What else? Oh, yes, I so want to get a hang of this LOA stuff, to have it all sink in to the point where I am a (deliberate) master manifestor on a regular basis..THIS is my ultimate goal. I’ve bought your book and read it twice so far but I find that I slip back into old patterns. So I cannot wait until the online program is available. I’ll jump on board the minute it’s open!
I want to send you a ginormous THANKYOU. Although I have faltered and I seem to need to learn techniques etc a thousand times before they sink in, you, your blog, your coaching calls and your never-ending enthusiasm and high vibration keep pulling me up and up. I can say with all honesty that I really don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t stumbled upon your website 18 months ago. You have changed my whole world view and there are not enough thankyou’s in the world to express my appreciation of you. May 2016 be as meaningful, good and uplifting to you as you have been to me. xx

  • I just want to first say…I love your book. I was meant to buy it when I needed it. Thank you, Universe! You have explained the process so easily where it does make sense. All the other books never broke it down so now I understand why I was having such a difficult time getting what I wanted. Thank You for the explanation. I am so excited about the coming new year because of understanding the process of manifestations.
I look forward to your next book and what I can manifest in 2016 thanks to you!

    Happy New Year
    Maryann

  • Soooo exciting!!! My biggest goal that is making me the most excited is my promise to myself to have more fun Hahahaga so not specific so thank you for having that as your first advice ???????????? and from that space it seems as if I will buy my own apartment in for me the most perfect village. ?????? furthermore, I will be releasing my creative channels that has been hiding for years ah they are so welcome to be with me more. 2016 is when I’m guided by creativity and joy in a way stronger than ever. And surprisingly a new word is exciting to me – discipline!! I am so ready to be more displined in everything I do!!!! • I LOVE this. Love it! And it’s crazy, because it’s almost exactly what I’ve been doing this month. I’ve been blogging for the past year and a half about something I was truly passionate about, and I had huge dreams for that project. But lately I could feel it coming to an end, and it scared me. I thought it was my destiny. The vehicle through which all my hopes would manifest. But I couldn’t deny the pull I felt in a new direction. It was so strong, I soon realized it was a spiritual calling. And so instead of looking at my project with sadness, I looked at all the things I had learned and took inventory of what I would joyfully continue and improve on in my new endeavor. And I am filled with joy! I cannot wait to launch my latest endeavor, which I do feel is my destiny. Happy 2016, everyone!

  • Hi Melody!

Wow, you are so amazing and beautiful and I just want to thank you for everything you have taught me this year, and especially for your wonderful book! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and for teaching me to break myself out of denial about what I want from life!

    Have a fantastic 2016!
    Love and hugs from Sweden!

  • It’s already 2016 here in New Zealand, so happy new year! This is my second year following your blog, and what I realised I’d that subconsciously I’ve already been doing the same ritual (last year, when of just started reading this blog, it was more of a conscious act).

Last year for me was more of an experiment, “Does this LOA stuff really work?”

Now that I’ve had my answer, a resounding “Yes”, I’m happy to say I’m looking forward to 2016 with a lot of confidence, and I’d like to thank you for that.

  • Hey Melody,

I always love when you land in my inbox. I’d like to add that for me it helps to write out everything you said – celebration of accomplishments and then emotional goals for 2016 – and then do what you like to pump yourself up.

For me it’s listening to music (I’m digging M83’s midnight city right now) and actually dancing around the room or dancing in the car while driving in a beautiful place. Those are ways to shift my physiology to match my desires.

Otherwise I might just sit there in my seat staring at words on a page trying to conjure the emotion with my mind. Sometimes that works, but when I get my body to join the party, I usually get better feelings flowing through.

    Happy 2016!

  • I just wanted to say that this video really inspired me. I’ve had a bad year (no, really-I’ve honestly not done anything {been unemployed} and have been dealing with a relative who’s got cancer), and I am going to do my best to do exactly what you’ve advised.

I’ve enjoyed your videos/blog posts in the past, and this one just “kicked it up a notch” for me. Thank you for all the work you do!

  • Ahh, I’m crying, I learned so much from you Melody, I’ve come very far and you’re definitely one of the people I have to thank for that. I hope (know) that you have a great year next year, as well as everyone else and myself.

  • Holy Crap! I’ll have tocome back to this, cause I stopped reading at “Boise”. Yay! Live events? Workshops? Happy smooshy puppy hugs all around!

  • Thank you for sharing this video and post Melody! I have to watch the video, but reading your process has been so uplifting and encouraging. I love how you emphasize not being so specific on the timing and allowing goals to be general. That feels so freeing and relieving!

I’m not yet dancing around the room for my goals, but I am definitely feeling more empowered. I am feeling more excited and knowing that I’m on the right path and will get what I want, that I am supported, that everything is working out for me and that so many wonderful things lie ahead this year. 🙂 I manifested some great things this past year and know that it will only get better from here! All those joyous feeling manifestations will grow and become even bigger and better!
