There’s a big, general wound that most people on this planet carry – not just lightworkers. And that wound comes from how most humans interact with each other. The problem is that we’ve been living in a culture of bullying. It has been totally acceptable, to put it bluntly, to be mean to each other. And that problem has only gotten worse in recent years, although awareness is definitely growing as well.
The problem is that we’ve normalized victimizing each other, which means that just about everyone feels like a victim in some way. We all feel unsafe with each other, never knowing when the next jab or humiliation is coming. Everyone is an enemy; everyone is just looking for a chance to one-up us; everyone is looking to exploit our weaknesses. No one is really safe, not even our families. This is a truly malicious and damaging belief system that keeps people from connecting with each other. Hell, many people are more like feral animals than conscious humans, gnashing their teeth at each other, terrified and trying to defend themselves against everyone else. Everyone is a victim; everyone is afraid; everyone is perpetually on the defense. And what’s even worse, some of the justifications we have for this belief system will cause us to defend it rather than acknowledge its ugliness and the emotional devastation it leaves in its wake.
