Boomer thanks you.
Many, or even most people, seem to have this constant, underlying assumption that something is wrong and needs to be fixed. This belief can cause consistent and pervasive anxiety, which most people aren’t even aware of. It’s the idea that something is always going wrong. You’re not where you’re supposed to be. You’re not as far along as you’d like; you’re falling behind; you’re failing in some way. You may not know what you’re failing at, what you’re missing, or what’s going wrong. But SOMETHING is, for sure. And it’s your responsibility to fix it. If you don’t fix it, bad things will happen. Of course, you’re constantly being set up to fail, because you don’t even know what it is you’re supposed to be fixing, so you can never succeed. This belief causes constant vigilance, constant inner criticism, and constant fear.
